How to Setup Bluetooth on Your Kia

If you're a new Kia owner, one of the first things you'll want to do is set up Bluetooth on your car. This allows you to use hands-free calling and play music from your phone without having to connect any cords. It's a really convenient feature, and setting it up is quick and easy. Here's a video tutorial on how you can setup Bluetooth on your Kia

Three Easy Steps to Setup Your Bluetooth

Step One: Have the Vehicle Start Pairing for a Device

The first step to pairing your apple or android device to your new Kia through Bluetooth is to open up the settings tab on your vehicles system, and go to the device connection settings then the bluetooth connections. Add a new device by pressing the pair button, and make sure to include both the features of hands free calling and sync bluetooth audio.

Hands free calling allows you to operate every feature of android auto or apple carplay. This will make using your device while driving safer, and makes navigating while staying connected simple to perform

Bluetooth audio will make your vehicle wirelessly play the audio you have on your device. No need to have a passenger be in charge of your music and radio choice when you have this feature turned on.

If you do not check those they will not operate as intended, so we highly encourage it for an easier driving experience.

Step Two: Pair the Device into the Vehicle

The second step to pairing your apple or android device to your new Kia through Bluetooth is to open up the settings tab on your device, and go to the bluetooth connection settings. To add a new connection into your phone press on the "Kia Motors" option for other devices. It will ask you if you would like to allow your contacts and favorites to sync.

By allowing your contacts and favorites to sync, you will get the most use out of your wireless hands free use of your new kia's bluetooth. To make your driving more fun and easy, we recommend this.

This will now require you to enter in the PIN from your vehicle into your phone. The example to the left helps illustrate what this should look like on an apple device.

Step Three: Verify the Bluetooth Connection

The Third and last step to pairing your apple or android device to your new Kia through Bluetooth is to go through the vehicle infotainment system's options after the phone is paired. It will ask you to allow the device and you need to hit allow to make it work.

You can verify if the bluetooth has been connected properly by locating at the top right of the screen for a bluetooth symbol witha  headset on it. This means there is an active device connected to your vehicle
